"We called Darcy because she was the one name that every highly regarded pediatric orthopedist in NYC knew. Though she had a really busy practice  at the time, she agreed to meet with us; luckily my then infant son was very smiley and charmed her into taking him on as a patient. Over the many years that Darcy was a regular presence in our home, we got to know her not just as an extremely knowledgeable and gifted pediatric PT but a bright, deeply caring friend and guide on whom we relied for sound opinions and advice on a range of topics. She is creative, curious about new research, and an eager and skillful collaborator who worked actively with other members of my sons team both to learn from them and to ensure everyone was on the same page to best help my son. Because she was around so much Our family unofficially adopted Darcy and , though we do not see her as a therapist anymore, still consider her an honorary family member. We're thrilled she's practicing again and envy the families who will be enriched by her dedication and expertise."

"When my daughter began to see Darcy she was a few months past her 2nd birthday.  At that time my frustration was mounting as both her orthopedist and pediatrician were contradicting one another in diagnosing the origin of her toe walking.  When I found Darcy (a recommendation from Burke Rehabilitation), I felt a level of comfort that exceeded any of which I had known with other specialists.  Darcy was confident that my daughter’s condition was correctable and she treated the underlying causes of toe-walking where others were quick to be dismissive.  My daughter maintained a routine of twice weekly visits for a little over one and a half years.  During that time the increase in muscle tone, movement and bodily awareness was noticeable and significant.  In addition, the toe walking subsided so that it was almost non-existent.  Darcy handles her delicate young patients with gentleness and compassion.  She is truly amazing with kids and my daughter and I took an immediate liking to her. As a parent, there is no greater need for trust than with someone who is caring for your child.  In Darcy I found that trust and I could recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone dealing with pediatric issues requiring physical therapy."

"For many years, I have referred a variety of children of all ages to Darcy.  She has given them astute assessments and genuinely helpful therapy.  Throughout, parents and children both have found her a pleasure to work with, providing treatment as long as necessary and knowing when goals have been reached.  With older children, she has been able to inspire them to participate actively in their therapy, often a difficult task.  As a pediatrician, I value her keeping me well informed of our patients’ progress.  She is truly one of the very best."
